How To Take Better Product Photos with Your Phone

For some small start-up product companies, they may not be able to afford to hire a professional photographer right off the bat or may not be able to invest in a camera yet either. You can still get decent photos with your phone at least to get started.

I wanted to create a general tutorial on how to take better product photos with your phone. I don't use any professional equipment, lighting, or props. I just used my phone, natural light, and props that I already had at the house.

I wanted to compare what the cell phone photos looked like compared to a professional camera shot, so I have side by side comparisons in the video. I also didn't make elaborate set-ups. I just kept the props and background clean and simple.

If you don't take anything else away from this video, the main thing I want to push is that lighting will MAKE OR BREAK your photos! This doesn't mean you need to go buy fancy equipment, but at the very least, make sure you are using natural light coming in from a window.

Below is the video! Feel free to comment on the video itself with any questions or thoughts that you have.
