4 Tips to Attract More Clients to Your Business

If you're growing your business, I know how hard it can be to start having a consistent flow of clients and really start getting momentum. Of course, there are alllllll kinds of changes and things you can start doing to grow your business. The things I will be talking about here are geared towards your online presence to help you stand out more.

1. Show Up Online

Ok, I am one of the most introverted people I know and used to HAAAATE showing up online. Like talking on my stories, sharing photos of me, sharing personal interests for the sake of building a personal brand, etc. I didn't even like sharing much in the captions of the pictures and reels that I was posting. This also had to do with caring WAY TOO MUCH about what people thought of me, but that's a story for a different time. So I get it. It can suck at times....but it's soooo important!

You are your brand. Showing yourself more will help potential customers feel more connected to you which contributes to that know, like, and trust factor and when someone feels like they know you, like you, and trust you just from showing up online in photos and videos, even if they have never met you or talked to you, their chances of booking you are so much higher.

2. Ditch the Pixely, Low-Quality Photos

Imagine visiting a website filled with grainy, low-resolution images or a poorly Photoshopped picture where someone has clearly cut themselves out of a different photo and slapped it on a different background (which if done right, can be totally fine, but some are just embarrassing to see). It may not instill much confidence in you when you are shopping around for a service and you see what kind of looks like a scammy website because of the low-quality everything.

High-quality photos and videos are so crucial in making a positive impression and can also portray you as a higher-end business.

3. Quit Using ONLY Stock Photos

Quit using ONLY stock photos from the internet for every post and every photo on your website. Having personalized photos of you, your team, and your location, will help you stand out and not look like a generic stock photo gallery.

This also helps your potential client have a feeling of already knowing you and your team before they ever even meet you.

4. What Makes You Stand Out?

What makes you stand out from other businesses in your industry? Are you sharing those things that make you unique and what sets you apart?

For example, here is my list of a few things that set me apart:

  1. I specialize in personal brand shoots for women entrepreneurs instead of doing all types of photography.

  2. I offer both photography & videography instead of just one or the other.

  3. I’ve invested thousands of dollars in courses and coaching specifically for brand photographers to learn more and be able to provide a better customer experience.

  4. I’m not just locked in to one area. I travel nationwide for brand shoots.

  5. I make sure to work with my client before the shoot so I can really nail their vision and not just show up clueless on the photoshoot day.

  6. I offer photography subscriptions.

If you start sharing things that set you apart from others, it may make someone choose your over someone else.
